Social activist Anna Hazare on Sunday morning met protestiers against the alleged paper leak of combined graduate level exam – SSC CGL tier 2 exam.

Thousands of SSC aspirants, who learned about the leak through social media, gathered at the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) office in CGO complex on February 27. They have been protesting against the leak since then and demanded a detailed CBI probe into the matter.

The SSC who is willing to form an SIT probe have angered the students since it is likely that the members of this will be the current employees of the SSC themselves and thus can lead to unbiased investigation.

Earlier, the SSC Chairman Ashim Khurana also released an official statement saying that he had met protestors.

In his reaction to the protests, the SSC chairman said after meeting with the students, who carried printouts of the CGLE (Tier-II) 2017, to provide concrete evidence of the allegations. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also reacted to the protests and demanded a CBI probe in the matter.

After screenshots of question paper along with answers went viral on social media even before the exam was over, the SSC cancelled the exam held in morning shift on February 21. The students also claimed that the answers for several questions were marked in the paper. The candidates protested that the case has been a matter of irregularity.

The SSC then announced that the exam will be re-conducted on March 9.
